According to WCCFTech, the latest rumors about the pricing of AMD’s product comes from Bitsnchips who have been always accurate on guessing such things. Last week, the Sunnyvale-based company announced their Ryzen Threadripper, as well as the X399 motherboard platform. On the other hand, earlier this week at Computex, Intel has released pricing of their latest processors. However, AMD provided more details on the platform compared to what Intel released. Also, AMD already confirmed that the CPUs will hit the market in summer of this year but didn’t gave the exact date. As reported by Extreme Tech, there isn’t just one Threadripper stock keeping unit (SKU), there is actually a total of nine Threadripper. Those are:

AMD Cuts Down Ryzen 7 Prices

As of now, it is not clear yet if the existing price cut is permanent or not, but many reports suggest that the Ryzen 7 1700 has gotten trimmed from the previous price of $329 to $315, the Ryzen 7 1700X has dropped from $399 to $350 and the Ryzen 7 1800X is dropping to $460 from $500. The cuts are fairly reasonable, ranging from about 5 percent to approximately 13 percent.

AMD hasn’t given any official reason for the price trimming. However, if the guesses staying the Internet is true, it could be because the company is testing the waters at different prices to see how millions of consumers will respond.
