#iPadAir #iPadAir2 – Apple iPad Air 2 – Is It Time For An Upgrade? : Apple doesn’t only excel at creating smartphones, the US based company is one of the most renowned tablet manufacturer as well. The latest tablet to be created by Apple is iPad Air 2 and it was designed to replace the original version of iPad Air, but surprisingly Apple fans weren’t in any hurry to upgrade their tablets. Today we will go over three main reasons to why you shouldn’t upgrade your iPad Air.
One of the reasons why the original iPad Air is still selling so well even to this day is that it features a 9.7 inch LCD display, which is actually the same display used by the newer model. The 9.7 inch display features a 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution and 264 ppi. The only difference between the two tablets in term of display technology is that the new model is able to provide higher brightness levels and a more accurate color representation, but that’s about it.
The entry level 16GB Wi-Fi only iPad Air can be purchased for around $300 while the cheapest iPad Air 2 model is the 32GB Wi-Fi variant and its priced around $480. The price difference is quite big, and paying an extra $180 for 16GB of additional internal storage space it’s not worth it. If saving money is a priority, the 16GB iPad Air tablet is obviously the wisest choice.
Reports are showing that the third generation of Apple tablets will be launched during 2017 and the new iPad Air 3 will surely be equipped with much more impressive specs than the iPad Air 2. Apple fans that don’t want to jump straight to the third generation of tablets should keep in mind that when the iPad Air 3 is launched, retailers everywhere will put up great discounts for iPad Air 2 tablets in order to clear their stocks.
