#Microsoft #SurfacePro3 – Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Receives New Firmware and Driver Update : Microsoft has made available a new cumulative firmware and drivers pack dated June 6, 2017, targeted at its Surface Pro 3 tablets, which improves PXE performance on IPv6 through the recent 3.11.2150.0 Surface Pro UEFI version.
In addition to that, this new release also updates the Surface Pro Embedded Controller Firmware to version 220.127.116.11 to enhance the battery life during sleep states.
If you intend to upgrade your tablet, you can do so either automatically via Microsoft’s Windows Update Service, or manually by downloading, extracting, and installing all the drivers.
To be clearer about these two methods, if the first one is desired, simply go and check for updates and they will be installed automatically. However, not every device will receive the new package at the same time, and you might need to wait a while for your device to get the update.
However, if waiting isn’t an option, you should turn your eyes to the manual method so that you can upgrade your Surface Pro 3 immediately. To carry out this task, simply save and extract the archive, and install each driver and firmware included within the newly-created folder.
Last but not least, after applying all packages, it would be a good idea to reboot your tablet manually (if not requested automatically), to ensure all changes take effect properly.
