#OnePlus #OnePlus5 – OnePlus 5 Renders Show Three New Color Variants : A new set of renders appears to show off the upcoming OnePlus 5 in not one but three new colors aside from the ones already revealed by industry insiders. After the OnePlus 5 was leaked in matte black color yesterday, the device appeared in a brand new purple color and has now also been sighted in green, blue, and red. OnePlus has previously limited its colors to two per device, with the company only recently increasing this to three with the OnePlus 3T, albeit only for a limited time. With its next flagship, though, things may be set to change.
As can be seen in the renders pictured below, OnePlus is sticking with the aluminum unibody design for the OnePlus 5, though the overall shape of the device is more rounded. The rear side of the device is perhaps where the biggest changes take place due to the new dual camera setup in the top-left corner, which is coupled with a dual-tone LED flash. The back panel also features new antenna bands that wrap around its top and bottom edges, similar to Apple’s 2016 iPhone models. On the front of the device, though, things are expected to remain largely the same, with the only difference being the shape of the glass panel, though the 5.5-inch display is expected to remain largely unchanged. If this does turn out to be the final design of the new flagship, it appears that the Chinese company may be hoping to appeal to a wider range of consumers by producing a device that looks similar to recent iPhone variants. Moving away from the looks of the handset, the OnePlus 5 will come with the Snapdragon 835 on the inside, alongside 8GB of RAM and at least 64GB of internal storage, recent reports have indicated.
With OnePlus set to reveal its next flagship on June 20, it won’t be long before the final design of the device is confirmed. Either way, if today’s renders turn out to be legitimate, it appears that the company is now adamant to offer customers a wide array of colors. It remains to be seen how popular the firm’s next model turns out to be, but with the OnePlus 3T already discontinued, the company appears to be completely focused on the OnePlus 5.
