#Windows10 #Software – How to remove ads from the Start menu on your Windows 10 computer – There are plenty of issues with Windows 10, from privacy concerns to incompatible software, but nothing has been quite as galling to me as the addition of full-blown ads in the Start menu.
There isn’t anyone on the planet that wants to see invasive ads on their desktop before they even opening an Internet browser.
Thankfully, they’re ridiculously easy to deactivate.
As CNET helpfully explained this week, you only need to follow a few steps to turn off ads:
- Open the ‘Settings’ menu
- Click on ‘Personalization’
- Click on ‘Start’ at the bottom of the left-hand column
- Find a heading labeled “Occasionally show suggestions in Start†and turn the switch to the ‘Off’ position
Easy enough, right? Still, it doesn’t excuse the fact that this “feature†exists in the first place. The ads are intrusive, unnecessary and clutter up the menu. I just can’t imagine how these Start menu ads made it into the final product.
